It is highly recommended you print this page before downloading Home Inspection 2000. It will definitely save some confusion.
Important Note:
Windows VISTA users: Right Click on the Home Inspection 2000 Icon and select "Run as Administrator" after following the instructions below.
You will be prompted as to where you wish to save the download file on your computer. Accepting the Default is your most likely choice, however you may elect to save the file to another location. Select “SAVE” and the program will begin monitoring your progress.
The
time is entirely dependent upon the type of internet connection you have.
A cable or DSL connection will probably take less than 1 minute.
With a typical phone line and modem connection, it is not unusual for
downloads to take up to 1-hour. The
time is dependent upon Baud Rate, Internet Traffic, time of day, line noise,
etc… Be patient!
Minimize the screen and let the file download while you do what you need
to do. If the connection is
interrupted, try again as often as you like.
We want you to try our software. We’ll
be happy to mail a DEMO CD to you. It
doesn’t cost a thing.
Once
you have successfully downloaded the file and are ready to try it out, please
close all applications. From your
desktop, open Windows Explorer. You
will find a file named 2000Demo55.exe located under the target folder you
selected. “Double-Click on
2000Demo55.exe.
A
small screen will pop up explaining that this zip file will be expanded to your
computer. Select “Continue”.
The
next screen will prompt you to select the folder you want these files directed
to. The highlighted path in the text
box is the default and the most likely choice.
However, you have the option to change.
Click “OK” after you’ve made your choice.
The Zip File will be expanded to your target folder.
Still
using Windows Explorer, click on your target folder.
You will see “Home Inspection Software Demo”.
“Double-Click”. The
folder will expand and you will see two files named setup.
The setup file you want to select is the application file, which is
approximately 220kb. If you are
unsure, navigate to the tool bar at the top upper left of the page and click on
“View”. From the
“Drop-Down Menu” select “Details. Navigate
back to “Home Inspection Software Demo” folder and “Double-Click” on the
Setup file which is the application file.
This
will start the “Installation of Home Inspection 2000”.
Follow all on screen instructions and accept all defaults.
The installation will prompt you to “Restart your Computer”.
It is recommended you select “Yes”.
Your computer will restart your computer and will return you to your
“Desk Top”.
To
start “Home Inspection 2000”, click on the Windows Start button, then click
on “Programs”. Locate “Home
Inspection 2000” and click. The
program will open. If you want
the “Home Inspection 2000” icon on your desktop, “Left-Click and Hold”,
while dragging your mouse to the desktop. Release
the left button and the icon will remain on your desktop.
“Double-Clicking” the icon will open the program.
After
the program is successfully installed you may want to free up some disk space by
deleting the “Home Inspection 2000” install files.
These files are no longer necessary after “Home Inspection 2000” has
been installed. Simply return to
Windows Explorer. Navigate to your
target folder(s). “Right-Click”
on the file named 2000Demo.exe. Select
“Delete”. Send to Recycle Bin.
“Right-Click” on the folder named “Home Inspection Software
Demo”. Send to Recycle Bin.
